Tier 1 - Peer Review Management
Our bread and butter – providing full peer review management to academic journals, right through from author enquiry or submission to final decision. We liaise with and support all journal contributors throughout the process, including mailbox management, reporting, reviewer sourcing and much more.
Tier 2 - Managing Editor Support
Providing editorial offices with a higher level of support, working with teams to launch a new title from scratch, or working with existing journals in the following areas: editorial board meetings, issue compilation, supervision of journal editorial offices and or third-party suppliers, submission system optimisation, submission system site reviews, regular quality checks, plagiarism assessment etc.
Tier 3 - EDiTech Service
A service focused on a specific project, giving clients the flexibility to bring in an experienced pair of hands to particular assignments within their business or a within a targeted area of a journal’s workflow. We are committed to helping each of our clients get back on track and moving in the right direction.
Our Team
Our team provide support, quality management and escalation points for all journal teams and publishers.
They have:
- Expert knowledge of various submission systems, ScholarOne manuscripts and Editorial Manager, including setup and configuration
- A detailed understanding of supporting Society Titles, including FEMS, EACTS, EHJ, ISCB and many more
- Action submissions within 48 hours
- Administer the journal mailbox – responding to questions and queries within 24 hours (excluding holidays and weekends)
- Assist authors, reviewers and editors
- Ensure action is taken every week using the overdue manuscripts report
- Invite submissions
- Keep track of submissions
- Manage copyright transfer agreements
- Manage new submissions (original, revised and resubmitted)
- Offer technical support to all journal contributors
- Provide in-house holiday cover
- Provide journal reporting: annual, monthly and ad hoc reports
- Have first-hand experience using WoS, iThenticate and UAR
- Support editors to create and deliver each issue’s table of contents
- Take online and telephone meetings
- Undertake day-to-day peer-review journal management
- Engage in long-standing publisher contracts, proving loyalty, service satisfaction, dedication and experience
